  • CHE495/595 class made a field trip to Kömmerling USA

     

    in Huntsville, AL. We had a great opportunity to see and learn about the polymer (PVC) process engineering. Thank you very much for the invitation and the great tour, Mr.

  • Dr. Roh and Hector attended the AIChE 2018 meeting. It was very productive This year's meeting took place at Pittsburgh, PA. Next year, more people from our group are planning to go, and it will be at Orlando, FL :)

  • Dr. Roh gave several invited talks during his short visit to Korea: at the 24th International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) Congress Meeting, at the Korea Institute of Toxicology, and at the National Creative Research Center at the Catholic University of Korea. Dr. Roh wants to thank for the invitations and their great hospitality!

  • We had an End of the Semester and farewell party for Jet. Jet has recently accepted a great offer from Tokyo Electron Limited Ltd. Congratulations Jet!  We wish you all the best for the new chapter of your life! (Thanks to Dr. Banish for joining our party!)

  • Hector's hard work and excellent graduate study have been recognized by the College of Engineering. He received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award in 2018 National Engineer's Week event. Congratulations Hector! Way to go and keep it up!

  • Armin Ahmadi arrived from Iran and started his Ph.D. study at UAH, and he quickly joined our lab. He will work on a project of cancer immunotherapy using nanoparticles. Welcome, Armin!

  • Dr. Roh attended the UKC 2017 meeting (Washington DC, 10-12). He co-chaired and gave an invited talk at the Immune-Therapies and Drug Delivery session.
  • Lauren Stokes joined our lab. With her thesis research under Dr. Roh's guidance, she will pursue her MS in Chemical Engineering.  Welcome, Lauren!
July 2017
  • Aaron Sears has left our lab to pursue his passion for healthcare IT business. He has accepted a job as an Engineer at Epic Systems Corp. located in Madison, WI. It is a great loss for the lab but we wish you all the best in your new career!
  • We hosted the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Summer Program students as a participating laboratory. Following Dr. Roh's lecture, Abhinav, Hector, and Joowon demonstrated the principles and practices of flow cytometry.
